Overview

Suncorp is one of Australia’s largest banking and insurance companies. Paul worked in the Life Insurance group as a Senior Analyst / Programmer on the SOLAR project.

Responsibilities and Achievements

Supervised a team of programmers, controlled their workload and reviewed their performance.

Provided technical guidance to junior programmers.

Analysed and designed systems using the LBMS design methodology and CASE tool.

Developed online and offline modules of the SOLAR system using COBOL, ADS/Online & IDMS/R.

Supported production systems, including being on 24 hour call.
